Active Breaks

Take an active break at your desk!

When you sit all day, you tend to create tensions in your body with inappropriate posture & lack of mouvement. The purpose of active breaks is to provide you with a tool set of short exercices you can practice at your workplace when you feel the need to relax.

Type of exercices

  • Mobilisation: Moving you neck, back, arms, legs will allow to give your joints more amplitude and release tensions.

  • Stretching: the idea is to increase your muscles range of motion as they tend to shrink with lack of movement. Stretching will provide you relaxation and improve your tensions & mindset.

  • Breathing: A set of mindful breathing exercises to release your diaphragm, increase your lungs capacity and provide more oxygen to your brain. Breathing exercises are efficient at relieving stress.

  • Core training: Reinforcement of deep muscles, namely abs and waist belt in order to relief back pain and allow you to improve body posture.

  • Blood flow activation: Sitting more than 1 hour in a row, slows your blood flow. The slower your blood flows the less oxygen goes to your brain and the heavier your legs get. A dynamic set of exercises activates your blood flow and provides you with immediate benefits such as a smile on your face ;-)
